At the time of release, this was the oldest and most sought-after age statement in the series to date, showcasing how extended maturation transforms Old Fitzgerald's wheated mash bill of 75 percent corn, 20 percent wheat, and 5 percent malted barley into something noticeably richer and more concentrated.
Meeting every legal requirement of Bottled in Bond, product of a single distillery in a single season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at exactly 100 proof, this release pours a rich mahogany color. The nose brings caramelized sugar, vanilla bean, toasted oak, honeyed grain, dried fruit, and baking chocolate, developing into cherry and dark fruit undertones.
