About This Bottle
Gran Patron Piedra, named after the Spanish word for "stone," is Patron's first-ever extra anejo tequila, produced at Hacienda Patron in Jalisco, Mexico using the ancient tahona process, where a two-ton stone wheel gently crushes 100% Blue Weber agave, one of the very few tequilas still produced this traditional way. Aged four years in a combination of French Limousin and new American oak barrels, this ultra-premium expression is robust and full-bodied, comparable in character to a fine bourbon or Scotch while retaining unmistakable tequila identity.

Presented in a striking hand-blown crystal decanter with an elegant weighted stopper, Gran Patron Piedra bridges the gap between traditional tequila craftsmanship and barrel-aged sophistication, best enjoyed neat or in a refined Old Fashioned, making it a landmark bottle for serious tequila collectors.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Gran Patron Piedra taste like?
Rich oak, cigar box, and spice on the nose, with sweet caramel and butterscotch upfront on the palate, finishing rich and lasting.
What does "Piedra" mean and why is it significant?
Piedra means "stone" in Spanish, named for the two-ton tahona stone wheel used to crush the agave, one of the oldest and rarest production methods still used in tequila making.
How is this different from standard Anejo tequila?
It's classified as Extra Anejo, aged a full 4 years compared to the 1-3 year range for standard Anejo, giving it deeper oak and bourbon-like complexity.
