About This Bottle
The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old marries whisky matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks from Jerez, Spain, using more American oak than the brand's 12 Year Old Sherry Oak expression. The American oak imparts notes of vanilla and honey, while the European oak contributes rich dried fruit and warm spice, bridging bourbon-style sweetness with classic sherried Scotch richness at The Macallan's Speyside estate.
