About This Bottle
Rabbit Hole Heigold is a high rye Kentucky straight bourbon distilled at Rabbit Hole Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. It is made with a double malt mash bill of corn, malted rye imported from Germany, and malted barley. The malted rye adds a rich, spicy character that sets Heigold apart from typical high rye bourbons. It enters the barrel at a low 110 proof and ages for over four years in charred new American white oak before being bottled at 95 proof.

Heigold is named for Christian Heigold, a German immigrant and stonecutter who settled in Louisville in the 1840s. He built a home carved with likenesses of his family, American heroes, and patriotic symbols. The bourbon’s German malted rye is a nod to his roots, and its name honors his creativity and independent spirit.
